Here's how. Hope Journals- Disciple Women are making Journals of Hope to sell at Quadrennial. Join us at Loudon Avenue Christian Church on our last SPA Day to learn how to make a journal. Disciples Women in Virginia Received Request for Quadrennial- Virginia has been asked to supply 30 gallons of grape juice for the communion services at Quadrennial. The total cost is estimated at $180.00. We received our first $30 offering and offerings can be mailed to the regional office. Please indicate in the memo that the offering is for the QA communion. The offerings will be taken to Greensboro and the juice will be purchased at Sam's Warehouse. Special notice: Immediately following SPA Day at Loudon Avenue Christian Church on May 22, 2010, The Rev. Cynthia Hale will be signing her new book. If you haven't sent in your SPA registration for May 22, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. SPA Days will be different at each church in order for you to experience the many types of worship you can do in your local church and districts. We encourage all women to attend more than one if your schedule and budget allows for it. SPA Days are a great way to meet other disciple women in Virginia!
Virginia Disciples Women Help with Haiti relief The Virginia Disciples Women have been working hard to recruit and encourage disciple women, men and youth in the assembling of hygiene kits for Haiti. Pictured: Sheila Yeatts, Olive Branch's World Outreach advocate. She's smiling because of the 134 kits she was able to forward to Church World Service thanks to the generosity of the congregation!

The Disciples Women Regional Committee recently met in Lynchburg at Timberlake Christian Church. With SPA Days, Haiti, Quadrennial and everything else to talk about, we did take a few breaks.
