Virginia Disciples Women Ministries

Photo:  Message from A Small Hand: "A Small Hand is facing the daunting challenge of raising $60,000 during 2012, and we are trusting that there will be women and congregation beyond Shenandoah County interested in helping us.  We welcome donations of money and goods – new baby essentials and very gently used clothing, and we have a Wish List on our web-site.  We also welcome groups to come and help us pack, stock and serve.  Our web-site aims to be totally transparent, detailing what we do, what we spend, what we are given and what we need.  We pride ourselves on being very cost-effective.  We are an all-volunteer organization with no costs for space, utilities or administration.  We source what we can through Feeding America and Good360.  And as a result, we spent just $11 to serve the average infant visit in 2011 – but parents left with 6 times that in the value of the goods they were given.   Last year, we worked with a Lutheran Parish in Rockingham County to start ‘A Small Hand Plains District’, and stand ready to help other groups who are interested in doing something similar.  So we need money, ideas, help and your prayers!"    If you have questions, please phone Ann 540-933-6313, or email amcbroom@shentel.net.  Please learn more here about this amazing ministry!
